Philippines is a country located in Southeast Asia. It lies in western Pacific Ocean. It comprises of over seven thousand islands and is considered as a large archipelago. It was credited to be discovered by Spanish conquistador, Miguel Lopez de Legazpi in around 1565. He made the Philippines the capital of the Spanish East Indies in 1571.
