The Sculptor Galaxy is starburst and intermediate spiral galaxy of the Sculptor constellation. Its alternatives names are Silver Coin, Silver Dollar Galaxy, Caldwell 65 and NGC 253. It was discovered in 1783 by British astronomer, Caroline Lucretia Herschel. She discovered it during her comet searches.
