Nickel is a chemical element and hard, corrosion resistant metal. It is silvery-white in color. Its atomic number is 28 and it is denoted by chemical symbol Ni. It is usually found in meteorites. It was discovered in 1751 by Baron Axel Fredrik Cronstedt, a Swedish mineralogist and chemist.
