Hassium is a synthetic element. It is represented by the symbol Hs and its atomic number is 108. It was discovered in 1984 by two famous German physicists Peter Armbruster and Gottfried Munzenber. It was discovered at the Institute for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt, Germany.
