A galaxy is enormous gravitationally bound system made up of several stars and stellar remnants. Bode’s Galaxy is a spiral galaxy. It is also known as Messier 81 or NGC 3031. It is approximately12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. It was first discovered in 1774 by Johann Elert Bode, a famous German astronomer.
