Prince Edward Island is a Canadian province consisting of numerous other islands. It lies in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It is surrounded by Nova Scotia peninsula, New Brunswick and Cape Breton Island. It was discovered in 1534 by French explorer, Jacques Cartier.
