Pluto is the ninth planet of our solar system. It is called as dwarf planet. It has three moons such as Nix, Hydra and Charon. Charon is the larger one and the other two are smaller. American astronomer, James Walter Christy discovered the Charon. It was discovered by him on 22 June, 1978 while he was working at the United States Naval Observatory.
