Who discovered Platinum?

Platinum is a chemical element. Its atomic number is 78 and it is represented by the chemical symbol Pt. It is greyish white metallic element commonly mixed with other metals for instance, osmium, nickel or iridium.

It was discovered in Peru in 1735 by Antonio de Ulloa, a Spanish explorer and Jorge Juan y Santacilia, a Spanish scientist. It was independently isolated in 1741 by ironmaster Charles Wood.
