Antimony is a chemical element. It is denoted with symbol Sb and its atomic number is 51. It is bright grey metalloid mostly used in lead alloys and commonly found in the nature in the form of sulfide (Sb2S3) (antimony’s primary mineral ore). Its pure natural occurrence in the crust of earth was first described in 1783 by Anton von Swab, a scientist and engineer of Sweden.
